To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience while your new driveway is installed, we’ve compiled this handy checklist. A bit of prep goes a long way!
📣 Communicate With Neighbors
- Let neighbors know when work is scheduled to begin and how long it will last.
- Share that there may be construction noise, equipment, or altered traffic flow near your property.
🚗 Parking & Access
- Relocate vehicles from your driveway before construction begins.
- Arrange for alternate parking if street access is limited.
- Notify service providers (e.g. landscaping or deliveries) about limited access during the project.
🧸 Remove Outdoor Items
- Clear the work zone of toys, planters, decorative rocks, furniture, and any fragile or valuable items.
- Secure sprinkler heads or other landscaping features near the construction area.
🚧 Plan a Safe Path
- Establish a clearly marked walkway that avoids the construction zone.
- If you have pets, set up a route or alternate access for walking them safely.
🚽 Porta Potty Placement
- Designate a discreet, accessible area where we can place a temporary restroom for the construction crew. We’ll handle setup and removal.
🌴 Consider Being Away
- If possible, plan the project to coincide with a vacation or extended time away. It's a great way to avoid disruption and return to a brand-new curb appeal!
🛎️ Additional Suggestions
- Store sensitive items inside, especially near garage doors or entryways.
- Double-check your irrigation schedule—sprinklers near the work zone should be temporarily turned off.
- Make arrangements for trash pickup if usual curb access is blocked during the work.
